MILWAUKEE, WI – Milwaukee Tool continues to disrupt the carpentry and remodeling space with new-to-world solutions. The new M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander offers professional carpenters and remodelers the means to accomplish jobsite material preparation and installation. With faster detail sanding, while leaving a stain-grade finish and more access to tight corners and contours, the Orbital Detail Sander is optimized to perform applications on-site that are traditionally done by hand.

The M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander provides the power to remove material up to 2x faster than traditional hand sanding solutions on the market. Its orbital sanding motion avoids scratches and gouges at a precise removal rate, leaving a stain-grade finish. The ergonomic design allows for more access to tight corners and contours, for more precise sanding. The optional sponge pad allows the abrasive to contour to the work surface when working with complex trim profiles, while the pad saver protects against excessive heat buildup to extend the life of the backing pad. As an added benefit, the sander features an LED Work Light, a variable speed trigger, and four different speed modes that can be selected for more precision sanding. The M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander has been fitted with a lock-on button for greater comfort at extended durations, while the compact size allows for efficient tool-belt storage.

Milwaukee also introduces their new Mesh Sanding Sheets exclusively compatible with the M12 FUEL™ Orbital Detail Sander. The Milwaukee Mesh Sanding Sheets are designed with POWERGRID™ Tear Resistant Mesh and a durable nylon backing for maximum durability against sharp edges and corners. These sheets last up to 12x longer than standard sandpaper and are coated with sharp cutting grains for faster material removal and a flawless finish. Standard sandpaper is prone to clogging, however the open weave-design on the Milwaukee Mesh Sanding Sheets allows users to shake, vacuum, blow, or rinse them clean preventing material build up for repeated use and longer life.
